Is Matched Betting an Easy Way to Make Money?

There’s a new gambling craze that’s doing the rounds right now, that promises to make you a profit, regardless of what you put in. It’s called Matched Betting, and it seems to be a foolproof way to make money.

What is Matched Betting?

Matched Betting is when you make two bets, each against the other. For example, if you were to bet that Ronaldo will return to Manchester United, then bet that Ronaldo won’t return to Manchester United, you will obviously win one of the bets.

What Are the Risks of Matched Betting?

This is not gambling, so there are no risks. There are a few rules to follow though. You need to make sure the odds are such that you do receive a profit, as one could easily cancel the other out. This is quite simple with assisted matched betting from sites such as The Sure Bettor as they point you in the right direction or find the best odds for you.

You also need to find two establishments to make the bet. One, a normal high street broker such as Ladbrokes, the other a free bet from a broker. Bookies give out free bets regularly and you need this to ensure you don’t cancel yourself out. The Sure Bettor has a Matched Betting Calculator you can use for free.

Is Matched Betting Legal?

Matched betting is completely legal. You are placing bets and taking advantage of free bets offered by book keepers. Although it’s unlikely you’d be able to place both bets at the same book keepers, you’re well within your rights to use as many book keepers as you want to place matched bets (also known as back and lay bets).

Even if you’ve never placed a bet before you could still make a tidy profit with Matched betting. You do have to spend some time though, in order to look through the latest offers and to find the right matched bets for you. As your experience grows, so will your profit. We recommend you start small and build up as your confidence rises. It seems like a nice, fun way to earn an extra income with little consequence.

We recommend staying safe when considering this new trend, please do sign up to a site like The Sure Bettor to protect yourself.
