Mother’s Day is a tricky one. If you’re looking to get your mum something special but you’re watching the pennies it’s often hard to find something that’s of good quality that won’t take up too much of your monthly budget.
Here are a few last minute ideas that won’t break the bank this Mother’s Day.
Check out the 99p stores
I love the 99p store. All named brand toiletries along with useful home items such as kitchenware, food, crisps and sweets. They’re also great for seasonal events such as Easter and of course, Mother’s Day. Just this weekend I purchased a beautiful mug for just 99p and a really nice Mother’s Day card, again for just 99p. A lovely gift that will be appreciated by any mum who loves a cuppa.

Get creative
This year I made my mum a Mother’s Day card with a cross-stitch set from Hobbycraft, which was on sale for £3 in December. Not only did I have fun making it (albeit frustrating at times!) I know my mum will appreciate the effort I made, especially as she was the one who taught me to cross-stitch when I was young.
Have a great Mother’s Day!
