If you’re looking for tips on what to buy for Father’s Day and how much to spend, the members of deal sharing website HotUKDeals have revealed their spending habits for this special day to help you decide.
Shall I buy a gift and what should I buy?
60% of HotUKDeals members, who took part in the Father’s Day survey, said they will be buying a Father’s Day gift this year.
The most popular gift that they will be buying for their fathers is alcohol (27%) followed by the following:
- Clothes – 22%
- Something related to DIY – 21%
- Something sports related – 14%
- Toiletries – 10%
- Chocolate – 6%
How much should I spend?
I never know how much to spend on Father’s Day and Mother’s Day – should you spend as much as Christmas or a birthday, or is a token gift enough?
The majority of HotUKDeals members seem to think a small gift is enough with 48% saying they will spend £11-20 on a gift for Father’s Day. A generous amount of people (19%) will be spending £21-30 with 14% buying a token gift for £1-10. 19% will be spending over £30.
